Peak District
National Park

British Fluorspar Limited’s mining activities
are located in the centre of the Peak
District National Park.

Due to the natural beauty and ecological
biodiversity of the area, it is important that
BFL’s mining and mineral processing
operations are managed to the highest
environmental standards in close cooperation
with the Park Authority and compliance with
our mineral planning consents and permits.
A key BFL aim is the responsible and
sustainable temporary use of the natural
resources and landscape within the Park.

Once the vein mineral has been mined the
land is progressively restored to a sustainable
reclamation landform and beneficial afteruse,
in close cooperation with the National Park
Authorities.

BFL has a highly qualified technical team who
manages the restoration of our completed mine
sites.

Our aim is to return our restored mining areas
to agricultural and landscaped public access
open space.
